Personally, I don’t see being honest about Bush 41’s AIDS legacy as speaking ill of the dead, but simply being accurate about a social and political issue (HIV/AIDS) that remains pertinent today.

I would also argue that the lives of former presidents, because of the power they once held, are up for more scrutiny than the average citizen.
